Dinner, Dulaney, and Drinks!

Don't Forget!

See you on Friday at the Pep Rally! Bring a pasta dish to feed 8-12 people. Pep Rally is from 6-8 p.m.

Don't forget to bring your drink donation to the Pep Rally (at the latest as drinks are needed for Saturday's meet)! See list on swim team bulletin board!

The first official Wahoos meet is Saturday v. Dulaney. We are at home. Arrive at the pool at 7:30 a.m. for warmups. Meet starts at 9 a.m. Park at the church. Have your swimmer(s) sign in with the coaches. Bring your food donation to the concession stand. The list of items is on the swim team bulletin board.

Check the swim team bulletin board for your volunteer assignment. Remember: The Wahoos swim team is a volunteer run organization. The team cannot function unless EVERY parent fulfills his/her volunteer commitment.

Can't do your volunteer assignment? Find a friend to cover your assigned job! Don't leave the team in a lurch!

Home Meet v. Dulaney Reminders

**Reminder for this Saturday's Meet against Dulaney** Please have your child there by 7:30 for sign in & warm-ups, meet starts at 9:00

**IMPORTANT - make sure you sign in that your child is here to swim, the Asst. Coaches should be at the front gate to check you in.
If you don't see them then please find them to let them know you are here.

Bring in your drink donations by Friday, June 25th evening.

Bring in your food donations the morning of and make sure you sign in. Check the bulletin board at the pool for a list of donations.

Pep Rally

There is a sign up sheet. We need to get a headcount for the Pep Rally, so make sure to sign up your family and to indicate what dish/item you will bring.

Just bring a dish that will feed 8 to 12 people, so we have enough food for everyone. In case you were wondering we have a little over 100 famlies and 195 swimmers to feed. :)

Volunteers

A copy of the volunteer sheets is posted on the swim team bulletin board at the pool. Please check to see what you are signed up for. The meet cannot function without volunteers like you. Please complete your volunteer assignment at the meet.

There are a few open spots - Timers for 2nd half in lanes 5 and 8 I believe, and concessions could use a few hands. If you are interested in filling in on those spots please email - Kay B., C2swim@verizon.net or Mary Pat, marypatjordan@aol.com as soon as possible. Thanks for volunteering!

Update from Coach Jill & Swim Team Reps

Congratulations Wahoos on your 266-220 victory over South Carroll! Swimmers of the week are posted on the bulletin board. Thanks to all the swimmers, parent volunteers, and fans who persevered through the rain!

A few reminders for this week that are **VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER!**

1. Now that school is out practices switch to mornings. Don’t forget Friday is Donut Day! All swimmers who complete practice will get a donut. Due to supply we cannot give donuts to moms/dads or younger nonswimming siblings.

2. Sign up NOW for the Relay Meet at Andover which is THIS SUNDAY located on the bulletin board. Sign your swimmer (and family) TODAY! If we do not have enough swimmers signed up we will have to withdraw from the meet. Please sign up!

3. Look for information regarding a novice meet against Cattail Country Club in July.

4. If you will not be swimming in a meet Coach Jill needs to know by the Wednesday before the meet. Contact her directly at springerjc@comcast.net.

5. If you can not fulfill your volunteer assignment or bring your assigned food item to a meet, please try to ask a friend to help you out. Swim Team is counting on YOUR assigned obligations.

6. If you are volunteering at a later shift please be on time, remember you are relieving someone.

7. Always check the bulletin board and West Howard blog for upcoming information.

Concessions Explained

Concession Responsibilities for each Swim Team family:

Each family is responsible for donating the following:

1. 1 case (24 cans) of soda or 1 case (24 bottles) of spring water or an 8-pack of sports drinks due before first meet (June 20) -- see donation list on Swim Team bulletin board.

All drink donations are collected prior to the first meet (June 20) for the entire swim season and kept in the storage room. These drinks are sold at the meet and used for swim team parties during and at the conclusion of the season.

2. Families must donate one food item per home meet due the night before the meet or the morning of the meet if perishable. There are three home meets -- June 20, July 3, and July 18. See food item donation list on Swim Team bulletin board.

If your child is not swimming in the meet, it is recommended that you sign up to bring non-perishable items that may be left with the concessions manager prior to the meet.

Since the snack bar requires much assistance in order to run smoothly, any help is appreciated. A helping hand (even from adults who are not signed up for concessions) is extremely helpful while the snack bar is being set up (prior to the meet) and during clean-up (at the conclusion of the meet).
