Lindsay, mom to new swimmer Andrew, provided information on the Wahoos swim team. She said that the team was always called the Wahoos. Lindsay would know since she was on the team from day one when the team started around 1984!
Any other Wahoo swimmer moms and dads out there? I would love to hear from you about what the Wahoos swim team was like back in the 80s and 90s. My family joined West Howard Swim Club in 2003 and the Wahoos swim team in 2004, so we are relatively "new."
Were the swim suits and team colors always blue and white?
Has the team always had the same logo?
Has the team always had team cheers and the belly flop guy?
